If you’re looking for a breakfast that’s quick, comforting and packed with staying power, Mariah Morse’s protein oats are about to be your new go-to. 

This simple recipe transforms a simple pantry staple into a high-protein, flavour-filled bowl that will keep you satisfied long after breakfast. Whether you’re fuelling up for a busy day at work or a tough workout, these protein oats deliver the perfect balance of nourishment and flavour. 

No complicated ingredients, no fuss, just a delicious and nourishing start to your morning.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup rolled oats

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • ½ scoop protein powder

  • ⅔ cup water 

  • ½ cup mixed berries

  • 1 tbsp nut butter

  • 1 tbsp Greek yoghurt

  • 1 tsp cacao nibs

  • Pinch of cinnamon 

  • Pinch of flaky sea salt

Method

  1. Add the oats, chia seeds, protein powder and water to a microwave-safe bowl.

  2. Microwave for 60 seconds, then continue heating in 30-second intervals, stirring between each one, until thick and creamy.

  3. Top your warm oats with berries, nut butter, a small spoonful of Greek yogurt and cacao nibs.

  4. Finish with a light sprinkle of cinnamon and flaky sea salt for extra flavour.

  5. Serve warm and enjoy a protein-rich, nourishing breakfast.
